International summer carnival parade

The unique carnival procession which has grown in number over past years represents the riches of spirit and craftsmanship not only of carnival participants but also of foreign guests, ready to share their joy with those present and make this carnival unforgettable. Within the large number of carnival groups and masks from Kotor, Montenegro and foreign countries, numerous visitors can see and enjoy in beautiful colours of authentic costumes, rhythm, and Mediterranean temperament of local people.

The carnival procession is moving along the main Kotor road, starting from the open swimming pool ‘Primorac” up to the south town gate on Gurdic.

All along this way, there are open stages where leaders represent carnival groups and individual masks, together with their messages and allegories.

The carnival madness is later continued until dawn on the town squares, streets and piazzas, followed by performance of musical bands, fireworks.
